Karongwe Portfolio - Kuname Lodge

I travelled with my mother for a five night stay at Kuname Lodge. It was beatufilly appointed and our room was spectacular and expectionally clean. The amenities provided were changed each day and we had a turn down service each night. The rooms have an outdoor shower and bath, which you must take advantage of. Situated near a river our deck had great viewing for any wildlife wandering past. Glenn and Ingrid were amazing and their hospitality was brilliant, they are very knowledgable and will help you with anything that you need, including day trips and helicopter or Balloon flights. We had three,meals a day, the presentation and taste were 5 star, hats off to their chefs. No thing was too difficult. Mandla- our Game Driver and Colin -out tracker promised all the animals and they certainly gave us everything, from three cheetah hunting to two leopards in the middle of the track, and the rest of the Big Five. Morning and Afternoon Game Drives are a must with the addition of a stop for drinks as the sun is setting. If you are up for a massage, ask for Connie she does a lovely smotth massge. In all we were totaly impressed and would not hesitate to return here as the hospitality was fantastic. Kind Regards, Kirsty Macdonald

Excellent boutique hotel in a private game reserve. The hotel served delicious food, including a Saturday night bar-b-q that included the trackers from the game reserve. The individual cabins were well appointed, with indoor and outdoor showers, and a lovely large deck overlooking the river and surrounding forests. Manager Glen was very accommodating and ensured that all of our needs were looked after.

From the moment we stepped into the Lodge to we were treated like royalty. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier, food was gray and the game drives even better. Thank you all at Kuname for the most wonderful Safari experience

Absolute trip of a lifetime. Everything from the pickup from the airport to the drop off was wonderful. Staff were amazing, property was beautiful and the reserve was incredible - we saw all of the Big 5 and more in 24 hours. Can’t recommend highly enough.

A truly amazing stay at the Kuname Lodge for a special 70th birthday trip with parents. Glenn is the most amazing host, and he and his team made us feel like we were staying in their home, rather than in a hotel. The service from all the staff was truly exceptional throughout, and everyone was so warm, friendly and welcoming - whether welcoming us back personally from each and every game drive, or just ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our relaxation time in the lodge during the day, Glenn and the team were superb. And what can we say about Lucky and Eddie, our amazing Tracker and Driver?! They were unbelievably knowledgeable and so wonderful at their jobs. We saw the Big 5 multiple times, as well as so many other animals, scenery and nature. They were so warm and friendly, and really looked after us on every game drive, somehow getting us to exactly where we needed to be just in time to see something magical on every single drive! The lodge itself is wonderful, with great facilities, and a real luxury feel. Although the bedrooms are not huge, they're not tiny, and they are perfectly lovely and luxurious, with everything you need to enjoy a luxury stay. The whole experience at Kuname was wonderful, and made a special celebration trip truly magical. We would visit again in a heartbeat. Thanks Glenn and the team for looking after us so well!
